Pathway launched 3 new products and won an award!

LDI sure was exciting this year! Before the show even started, Pathway was awarded the prestigious ESTA Dealers’ Choice Customer Service Award at the annual ESTA Dinner. Recognition of a job well done is always appreciated, but it is especially sweet when it comes from as prestigious and discriminating a group as the ESTA Dealer members. It is also heartening to see that the procedures that we had put in place as a result of the feedback gained from earlier ESTA Customer Service Surveys, has made a positive difference to your interaction with us. We launched a number of new products, all of which generated considerable excitement on the show floor.

On to the LDI new product news. First of all, we’ve gotten permission from ETC to include the Net2 protocol in single and four-port Pathports. Secondly, Strand Lighting has given us permission to include ShowNet in all Pathports. And finally, while we were on a roll, we decided to throw in ArtNet protocol support. This means that Pathports will now work with the major networking protocols, making full system integration easy and economical. Net2, ShowNet and ArtNet support will begin on nodes shipped after December 1. Upgrade firmware for nodes already in the field and a new version of Pathport Manager Configuration Software to support the changes, will be available on our website at that time as well. Please note that Net2 support is not yet offered on dual port Pathport nodes.

On the hardware side, we launched Pathport Uno, a new single-port Pathport (did you catch the hint in the previous paragraph?). Pathport Uno goes into a single-gang deep backbox and fits a standard Decora cutout so it can be grouped with other connectors or devices under a single cover plate. Economically priced, it has ETC, Strand and ArtNet protocol support. Pathport Uno starts shipping in early December and demand is already high, so get your orders in early to avoid disappointment.

We also added more DIN devices to our already popular line of eDIN DMX devices. New this year are 2-to-1 DMX Mergers, Analog-to-DMX interfaces and DC Drivers. The eDIN Merger is ideal for permanent installs where there is the possibility of more than one DMX source. It will also act as backup switch if the primary DMX signal is lost. The eDIN Analog-to-DMX interface provides a convenient means to integrate analog controllers or contact closure inputs into a DMX system. With a built-in DMX merger, the interface can readily integrate into an existing DMX stream. Finally, the eDIN DC-Driver is the perfect way to use DMX to control DC loads such as relays and LEDs. With sophisticated fade smoothing, the DC-Driver is the best way to get quality fades from DMX controlled LEDs. The eDIN Merger and the eDIN Analog-to-DMX interfaces are ready to ship now, and the eDIN DC-Driver will ship in January.
