Pathport Firmware 3.2.0.3 Print E-mail

Incorporating significant performance improvements, this group of firmware files covers all models of Pathports and includes several new features and extensions.

“Unique capabilities and unmatched flexibility lie at the heart of every Pathport system,” explains Dave Higgins, Pathway's president.  “And because we’ve always maintained hardware compatibility, these features are freely available to anyone who's ever bought a Pathport.”

Crossfade:  When network DMX inputs change, instead of jump-cutting, Pathport nodes will fade smoothly between the previous DMX input values and the new ones, in a user-set crossfade time.

Streaming ACN Input Priority:  In keeping with the E1.31 standard, we have implemented an input priority scheme on a universe-by-universe basis.

Streaming ACN Magic Channel:  Our tweak of the sACN input prioirity.  The user chooses a magic channel for each input.  The input with the highest DMX value for its magic channel is given priority by the outputs.  A simple way for users to switch between inputs at will and on the fly.

Extensions

E1.20 RDM:  All Pathports are now fully compliant with the Remote Device Management standard, and each node can discover up to 128 RDM-enabled devices.

Universe Support:  All Pathports can now address up to 128 universes

Data Loss: Data loss behavior is now on a channel-by-channel basis

Patch Engine:   Enhanced merge/priority patch handling leading to significant performance improvements

ETC Net2: All one and two port nodes now able to receive Net2 (DMX output)

Bug Fixes

3.2.0.3 fixes a bug introduced in 3.2.0.1, truncating DMX output generated from ArtNet sources.

The merger-3.2.0.1.bin file includes an important fix for the DMX Manager Plus.  A rare hardware interrupt problem could cause ports C and D to stop functioning.  We strongly recommend installing this firmware update.
