Pathport 3.2.0.1 Firmware Upgrade Available
Pathway Connectivity announces the release of firmware upgrades for its entire line of Pathport products. “This release continues our commitment to improving the Pathport line and to maintaining inter-operability with other control systems,” states Dave Higgins, Pathway’s president.
Incorporating significant performance improvements, the 3.2.0.1 firmware also provides a new crossfade feature. When network DMX inputs change, instead of jump-cutting, Pathports will fade smoothly between the previous DMX levels and the new ones, in a user-set crossfade time.
In keeping with the growing popularity of the E1.31 streaming ACN standard, the upgrade implements input-priority patching and offers a ‘magic channel’ method allowing the user to change input sources at will on the fly. Both of these E1.31 features are compatible with the crossfade.
This release also makes all Pathports fully compliant with E1.20 Remote Device Management, with each node capable of discovering up to 128 RDM-enabled devices. And all one and two port nodes are now able to receive ETC Net2.
“Unique features and unmatched flexibility lie at the heart of every Pathport system,” explains Higgins. “And since we’ve maintained hardware compatibility, these features are freely available to anyone who ever bought a Pathport.”
