Pathway Connectivity announces that shipping has begun for the latest addition to its family of DMX-over-Ethernet nodes, the Pathport® Touring Edition.

Sporting an IP54 enclosure type, the Pathport TE meets the requirements of the rental and touring markets, which have long lacked a robust, user-friendly Ethernet node.  All the parameters that make Pathports so flexible and powerful are easily configured using just three buttons.  And because the interface is battery-powered, no computer or network connection is necessary to review or change the IP address, port direction, DMX speed – even the operating protocol, to name just a few.  Normal show operation uses power-over-Ethernet, and the Touring Edition can be remotely configured using Pathport Manager 5.

The Touring Edition is also a full-fledged RDM controller – able to discover, identify and address any RDM-enabled devices downstream.  Add in real-time DMX testing tools on both the input and output sides, and the Touring Edition provides all the features needed to put together a lighting package in the shop and trouble-shoot it in the field without ever booting up a laptop.
